Anubis

Anubis was an Egyptian god of the dead, he was represented as a black jackal.

In the Book of The Dead, he presides over the weighing of the heart of the deceased in the Hall of Two Truths. In his role he was referred to as the "conductor of souls.'' Anubis was also known as Khenty-Imentiu "chief of westerners."
