Kinds of Music and Dance

There were six kinds of dance in ancient Egypt: religious, non religious festival , banquet , harem , combat , and  street.  People from every class were exposed to music and dance. The dancers would make up a dance depending on the music. Men and woman were never shown dancing together; commonly females danced together. The dancing was inseparable from music. On depictions in tombs, the a dancers were accompanied by bands. Some show dancers in athletic poses such as back flips, cartwheels, handstands, and backbends.  As you can see, music and dance appear   many times in the ancient Egyptian life.
