The Egyptian's calendar is much like ours. The Babylonians and Egyptians both created a calendar but the Egyptians was better. The last five days of the year corresponded to the birthdays of Osiris, Isis, Horus, Seth, and Nephthys. There were two kinds of calendars a civic calendar and a religious calendar. July fourteenth and eighteen were considered to be unlucky and dangerous. The religious calendar marked festivals, ceremonies, and the days that temples were created. The Egyptian's civic calendar had twelve months, three seasons, and thirty days in one month. The Egyptians didn't use leap years back then. Sothis invented the lunar calendar. So you can see the Egyptian's calendar is much like ours.
