Findings

Several items, such as boats or jewelry were put in the tombs for the afterlife.  The mummies were in coffins inside the tomb.   Inside some of the tombs there were hundreds of clay servants to serve the person in the afterlife.  There were also large beds full of golden leaves.  The beds were probably used to sit the body on during embalming.  On the walls were several paintings that led to or were in the tomb. Items like these have helped  archeologists  form what life in Egypt was like.
