During the middle kingdom Egypt built trading areas in Kush. That is when they realized the riches of Kush. Thutmose III invaded Kush. Then Egyptian priest built temples in Kush. Egyptians conquered Kush every once in awhile to remain in control. After this Kushites adopted some ideas from Egypt such as the afterlife idea and how to read and write in hieroglyphics.
