King Tutankham

King Tutankhamen (King Tut)  was an Ancient Egyptian King.  He was very famous for his tomb.  Inside the tomb the King lay within the nest of three coffins. Many items were foundin the tomb also.  Some items that were found are: varieties of 15 rings of various sizes on his fingers, 13 b-racelets and earrings, 415 statues of servants with baskets and tools, and large beds of gold leaves.  Three animals were found with the king, a hippopotamus, a lion and a cow.  On the king's head was a fabulous golden portrait mask.  All these items were there because the Ancient Egyptians believed that people would go on after their life to a more happy place which is called the afterlife. They put all their precious belonging in the tomb for the after life.  To get to the afterlife they took out the heart of the body and weighed it with a feather and if the heart was lighter than the feather they would go on to the afterlife.
