King Tut's Tomb Location
King Tutankhamen ( King Tut ) was the only pharaoh still residing in the Valley of the Kings. The Valley of the Kings is a place west of the Nile River and is located in Upper Egypt. The Valley of the Kings has two components- the East and West Valley. After King Tut's tomb was dug up by British Egyptologist Howard Carter he found 4 doorways and chambers ( the Annex, the Antechamber, the Burial Chamber, and the Treasury room ). The tomb contained the pharaoh's remains, hidden from view inside the outermost of three coffins. Geographers say that not many treasures are hidden because the tomb itself is very small and appears to have been built for someone of lesser importance.
