THE 10 PLAGUES OF EGYPT
Plague 1 Blood
Moses laid his staff in the
water and the water became blood. The fish died and the
Nile smelled. The people are without water for 7
days. Pharaoh's magicians are able to copy this
miracle. Ramses II would still not let the Hebrews go.
Plague 2 Frogs
Seven days past since the
plague of blood. The Lord told Moses that if Pharaoh did
not let his people go, the river would teem with frogs.
Pharaoh would not listen. Frogs rose from the river and
swarmed everywhere. The magicians could copy this
miracle. Pharaoh told Moses to pray to God to stop the
frogs. Moses did this to show them how powerful the Lord
is. The frogs died off. Pharaoh would still not let
the Hebrews go.
Plague 3 Gnats
The dust from the desert
turned to gnats. Pharaoh's magicians were not able to copy
this miracle. The gnats infested man and beast.
Pharaoh would not let the Hebrews go.
Plague 4 Flies
The flies swarmed over
Egypt. The flies did not strike in the land of Goshen
were the Hebrews lived. Moses and Aaron went to the desert
to offer sacrifices. They did as they had promised
Pharaoh. They asked God to kill all the flies. The
flies died out. Pharaoh would still not let the Hebrews go.

Plague 9 Darkness
There was intense darkness
in Egypt for three days. Men could not see one another or
move. It came without warning. In misery, Pharaoh
summoned Moses and told him if the darkness stopped, he would let
the Hebrews go. Moses prayed to God and the darkness
stopped. Pharaoh would still not let the Hebrews go
