Moses
Exodus 12:31 - 14
After the tenth plague, [death of the firstborn], Rameses summoned Moses at night and told Moses he could leave Egypt with the Israelites. The Israelites avoided the shorter route, but they took the route to Canaan along the Mediterranean coast, and traveled toward the Sinai. They were lead by a cloudy, fiery pillar which was visible evidence of God's power and presence. After a while of traveling, Moses realizes that the Pharaoh sent a chariot army after them. All the Israelites started to panic. Everyone started to run but they came across another problem. They were trapped between the Pharaoh's men and the sea. So God, through Moses, parted the Red Sea. The Israelites crossed and made it before the sea went back down on the Pharaoh's men. The Israelites gave a song of praise to the Lord.
