Psalm 86:5

5 You are forgiving and good, O Lord,
abounding in love to all who call to you

Click here to read how this applies to my life.

I started my Serra career in Kindergarten.  My teacher was Mrs. Reiss.  She was a very kind teacher and I loved being in her class.  Since it was my first year I was frightened but she made me feel so welcome that  I wanted her to be my teacher forever.   Some of my new best friends were Emily M and Mandy N.  We played tag together every recess.   Kindergarten was a memorable year.  I started soccer and enjoyed it very much.  My first team was called the Ladybugs.  Our uniforms were red and black.  I had so much fun playing this sport that I decided to keep playing it.  Kindergarten was a thrilling year, I learned do many new things and tried many things.   Kindergarten was a year of fun surprises and learning.

Finally the year was over and I sadly moved on to first grade and departed from Mrs. Reiss.  My new teacher was Mrs. Enoch.  Although I missed Mrs. Reiss very much Mrs. Enoch found a place in my heart right away.  We always had Wacky Wednesday, were we would dress up and wear some very strange things.  We also had D. O. L., which was daily oral language. It was very interesting and I soon learned new words daily. Flat Stanley was also apart of first grade.  I sent mine to my friend named Travis and his mother Linda.  I waited a very long time, so long that I didn't think that I would get it back.  But the next day it was in the mail.  It had many new things on it, which my friend had attached to it.    First grade was full of new ideas for learning and interesting activities.

That year went by fast and I was soon in my new second grade classroom.  Mrs. Blain was my new teacher.  In her class my new friends were Stephanie S., Maura M., and Kelsey K. They were very kind to me.  We learned a lot that year.   Since I was in second grade I would soon be receiving my First Communion.  I was excited but afraid, hoping that I would not mess up and embarrass myself.  But all that worry was for nothing because we soon went on a retreat.  There, they taught us songs and we made wine cups out of foil.  Towards the middle of the year we had the May Crowning, were we crowned Mary.  I was very excited because now I got to participate in the mass.

That year soon came to an end and I was soon introduced to my new third grade teacher named Mrs. Balsis.  In this class I met a new classmate who soon became a very good friend named Shannon T.  We made baskets for Mrs. Reiss' Kindergarten students, by weaving paper together.  We put trinkets and candy and dropped them off at their classroom.  It was good to see my kindergarten teacher again.   That year one of my friends Sara G., moved away. It was very sad and we all miss her very much.  She comes to visit sometimes but I wish she would stay here.  Although there was sad things that happened here we were still a very happy class and enjoyed it very much.

That year came to an end and I was soon in the fourth grade.  My new teacher was Mrs. Sandfort.  During the year before we went to the Pilgrim, we each created a website about an explorer for social studies.  I did a report on William Campbell.  Following this we went on the Pilgrim.  I was in the Hide-gatherers group with Ryann S. and four other people.  We rowed across the lake and gathered hides that were located in a barn.  We then rowed back and had dinner.  We supposedly had to eat seal soup.  We also had to clean the deck.  That adventure was over in one day.  That was a lot of fun and I was sad to leave.  I was also sad to leave fourth grade for the year was almost over.

My next year was fifth grade with Mrs. Peterson.  I was very excited and couldn't wait for the year to start.  She was very kind and I respected her a lot.  Later on in the year we created a project with Mrs. Egus.  During the year we participated in the Stations of the Cross.  I got to be the narrator with Emily M.  We performed in front of  the whole school. We even got to make our own website of The Stations of the Cross.   I was nervous at first but once I started I relaxed.  We did many other projects too.   We created a site that honored our hero which was my mom.  We called it  My Hero.  I had so much fun creating this and I was very proud.  This was my favorite year I made new friends and learned new things, I was even in the advanced Math group.  I was sad to leave but I would still see all of these classmates and teachers so I was not sad.

This next year was sixth grade.  This was the year of science camp and I couldn't wait. This year I had Ms. Passero.  She was a terrific teacher.  She was very creative and made learning fun.  Each month we made two current events.  We got to create a poster and writer a one page essay with double spacing.  I also got to bring candy to the people that got the answers right.  I also remember that Ms. Passero gave out goldfish to the people that were good. This year, in the beginning was difficult we were introduced to cubbies and switching classes.  It took some time Finally we got on the bus to science camp.  I was very anxious.  We learned so much that year at science camp about the environment.  We also learned a lot about ourselves.

Seventh grade was very interesting, I was introduced to different things that I learned to really enjoy.  My teacher was Mrs. Tilton's class. We had four teachers that year, Mrs. Matsukane, Mrs. Tilton and Mrs. Marsh.  Mrs. Matsukane taught us literature and English.  Mrs. Tilton taught us religion.  Mrs. Marsh taught us science and social studies.  Mrs. Budhabhatti taught us math.  That year we went to our first school dance.  It was really fun and I enjoyed it very much.  That year we went on a fieldtrip to Medieval Times.  It was very exciting. In computer that year we created our Animal Kingdom.  My animals was the Panda.  I learned so much about the Panda that year.  Another thing that we did that year was read The Bronze Bow and the Hobbit. This year we also had student council elections.  I ran for the office of religion.  I made it to the last two people but lost to Caitlin P.  Fortunately I get to be on student council as a member at large.  It is very fun and I enjoy   That year we also hosted the eight grade dance.  We decided that it would be Hawaiian.  It was so much fun and I can't wait till we have our own eighth grade dance.

Eighth grade came so quickly  that summer seemed very short.  This year I am in Mrs. Budhabhatti's class.  This the first year were we have different people in each class when we switch.  I really like this new system because I get to have class with most of my friends.  We also have electives this year I had to choose leadership since I am on student council.  We only have it on full Fridays. This year has been most memorable.  I have been able to participate in volleyball and basketball. Although my time at Serra is ending I am excited and ready for high school. I am going to try out for tennis and maybe basketball. I am so thrilled to meet new people and go through high school with  the friends that I have made here.

Three things I do well are:

1. Tennis is a sport I play well because I really enjoy this sport.   My whole family plays this sport so it is something I can participate in with them.

2. I also play volleyball because it is something I can do at school and be with my friends.  I can also play this sport well because I am tall so I am a good spiker and I can sometimes block.

3.  Another thing I do well is play basketball.  I play this sport well because I am very fast and have quick reflexes.

Three things I would like to improve about myself are:

1.  I would like to improve my tennis skills so I can make the tennis team at Santa Margarita High School.

2.  I would also like to become a better speaker and be able to speak out my opinion.

3.  I would also like to become more active in Church and be able to participate and understand God's word.

Three things I enjoy doing are:

1.  I enjoy playing tennis because it is great sport.  I enjoy depending on myself.  That way you can't blame your mistakes on someone else.

2.  I also enjoy going to the ocean with my friends and family.  It is so much fun and I enjoy it very much.

3.  I also really enjoy going to Palm Springs for vacation.  There I can relax and wait for the new school year to start.

A goal I have for this year is to get great grades and to do good in sports. :

1.  I will achieve this goal by concentrating on my studies.

2.  I can also achieve this goal by studying and preparing myself for tests.

3.  I can also achieve this by having faith and courage in myself.

Three careers that I am interested in are:

1. A pediatrician for little kids so I can help and cure those in need.

2. I would also like to be a veterinarian because I love animals and I want to help animals.

3.  I would also like to be a teacher for little kids because I am good with little kids and I feel I can make a difference in kids lives.

Three school subjects related to my career interests and why are:

1.  Science I believe is a subject that I know will help me if I choose to peruse a career as a doctor.  I need to be able to give out medications to patients.  I need to know medicine and also measurements.

2.  Math is another subject that definitely will help me with any career that would want to do. I need to be able calculate my money not just at my job but also at home.

3.  P.E. is a subject that will help me if I want to further my interests and talents into my  tennis. P.E. will help to keep in physical shape which is needed to play any sport.

This year I have learned: That in order to be successful you need to focus and try your best.
