Johnny Tremain

“The Courage of an American Spy”

He gallops through the forest.  He hears weird sounds all around him.  He checks and finds the British Army moaning because they scarred themselves with shame. In Johnny Tremain, Johnny’s support for the Patriots changes the tide of the Revolution and Johnny helps the Patriots by delivering information about the British’s condition.  Johnny gets a job and wonders if he can uphold the responsibilities.

Johnny becomes a spy for the American Patriots and gains data for the American militia and risks his life for American freedom.  “If you can get started carrying messages for him, others may follow.  Might be we could learn things Sam Adam, Dr. Warren, and Paul Revere would like to know.”  He receives a job to deliver a letter to the British.  Johnny will be able to gain information for John Adams, Dr. Warren, and Paul Revere. That info helps the Patriots with battles because Johnny gives them the data on the British militia. Therefore, Johnny wants to take the job to gain knowledge to help the Americans.

Johnny takes the responsibility and risks his life for American liberty.  “But at one o’clock as he stood beside Goblin in North Square receiving money and a letter from the medical captain one thing upset him.”  Johnny accepts the job. Furthermore he is willing to risk getting caught in order to give information for Adams, Warren and Revere.  Johnny with a new job from the medical captain and a new found courage, to gain American Liberty.  He gets the info and helps the Americans change the tide.

Thanks to Johnny’s courage he gets the info needed.  The tide did change and gets us to where we are now.  Thanks to Johnny we broke free from British rule.  Johnny’s courageous act helps us defeat Britain.
