1 Corinthians 13:4-8

4. Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; 5. it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6. it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. 7. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8. Love never ends; as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

I first started Serra Catholic School in Kindergarten.  Miss Smith was my favorite teacher.   My parents and Miss Smith helped to make me feel welcome by introducing me to all of my classmates.  I met my best friend, Paulina, that way.  I had a lot of fun at the first Harvest Festival at Serra.  I made my first "All About Me" poster and lost my very first tooth.  For my 6th birthday party, I invited all the girls in my class and went to McDonald's.  For graduation, we had to chose an animal we liked and I chose a crocodile.  We sang a song that went something like, "If I was a butterfly, I'd thank you God for giving me wings!"  During the tape of the graduation, you could hear my brother, Devin, yelling in the background, "Hi Caitlin!" during the credits.  It's very funny when you watch it.

In first grade, we didn't have naptime anymore.  My teacher, Mrs. Miske taught us adding and subtracting in Math.  What I loved about first grade was sending Flat Stanley around America.  I met a lot of new people and friends like Katie.  I baked cupcakes with my mom for my birthday and had a slumber party with my friends.  We had a giant teddy bear that we called Serra Bear and a student would be allowed to take him home for a week.  When it was my turn, I took him to my grandma's house in the mountains!  It was really windy, so we dressed Serra Bear in a jacket and pants.  It was so cute!  I gave Serra Bear a lot of new clothes that used to be my brother's; I think they looked better on Serra Bear.

Second grade came and I met two new friends, Caitlin and Maureen  Mrs. Pongetti prepared us for our First Reconciliation and First Communion.  We participated in the May Crowning of Mary and got to wear our dresses to school.  My little brother joined me at Serra with his first year of Preschool.  Everyone thought he was cute and he hugged me every time he saw me.  I started going to Extended Care that year, back when they had cool toys like roller skates.  I remember everyone would wait by the shed until someone unlocked it and you had to grab whatever you wanted quickly before anyone else took it.  I met Karissa and we become best friends.

I started third grade with  Mrs. Diemer but I originally wanted Mrs. Landry.  I was sad and jealous of Paulina because she had gotten Mrs. Landry!  Karissa moved away, and I was upset, but my other friends helped me through it.  I broke my wrist while I was running in a pair of new shoes and I got a pink cast.  When Mrs. Tellers had called my classroom, everyone thought I was in big trouble, but as it turns out I wasn't. She just wanted to sign my cast.

In fourth grade, I had Mrs. Sandfort, and I finally learned how to multiply and divide.  I met Emily and Paige in fourth grade and we became good friends.  We went on the Pilgrim where I got drenched in water when we had to wash the deck.  I started my mission project and my solar system report.  I used paper pâté to cover the planets and I got an A!  We got to use the Technology Lab to create our explorer projects.  My explorer was Luther Burbank.

I started fifth grade with Ms. Peale as my teacher and we did our State Projects.  My state was Indiana and I baked mint brownies.  They were delicious!  I met two new friends, Claire and Justin, my first 'guy-friend'  We voted for our favorite foods and who we wanted for president.  We also created Hero pages and made Living Stations of the Cross.  I discovered Handball and me and my friends would play it everyday at recess and lunch.  We got so into it, that we started to practice at home!  We want on a field trip to the Santa Margarita Water District where we learned where the 'byproducts' from our homes went and how they cleaned the water.  I didn't like that field trip that much, it was smelly.

I finally entered middle school with Ms. Passero.  School became harder and stricter.  Our uniforms changed from jumpers to skirts (which I like much better) and green sweaters to navy blue.  We made a quilt for Mrs. Benjamin in art because she was sick.  In social studies, we learned about ancient Rome and Greece.  We read one of my favorite novels, Tuck Everlasting in English and we did a little poetry too.  In technology, we created Natural Wonder and Ocean Life projects.  My Ocean Life graph was put on the internet!  We went to Science Camp where I had a lot of fun!

I entered 7th grade, with Mrs. Marsh as my teacher in the beginning.  Paulina and I worked on our tree project, our tree being the one in my front yard.  Mrs. Muzzy became our teacher later in the year, and she was a lot of fun!  We learned about a lot China and Japan, my favorite countries!  I can speak a little bit of Japanese besides the basics.  In Literature, we read The Bronze Bow and The Hobbit, both of them I love!  We went to Medieval Times where I had a blast!  But I like it better when you go there when there isn't any schools and you eat the kind of food they ate back then.  In Technology,  we made a Nutrition Chart and our own animal websites; my animal was the Kit foxI went to my first dance and I had my first slow dance.  I had to say good-bye to my friend, Aine.  But during that summer, Bretton Friestedt died and there was a memorial service.

I am now in 8th grade, yay!  Final year!  No more uniforms!  YAY!  I'm planning to have a bonfire at the end of the year and burn all of my old notebooks and workbooks.  Okay, that was weird....and somehow very exciting.  Anyway, what I'm looking forward to this year is GRADUATING!  I can't wait to get out of this school!  I've been here for nine years and the wait is driving me nuts!  Anyhow, I had a blast at leadership camp at Pali Mountain!  All the councilors were funny!  Especially Allen and Cracker.  I miss them a lot!  During Gilligan's Island, I fell in the lake, fun for me.  I didn't go totally under, thank goodness, but Emily did, hehehe.  One weekend, I attended the Girls of Grace conference in Los Angeles with my best friend Robin.  It was so much fun and I got a ton of free stuff like CDs, shirts, and books.  Two groups sang there, Point of Grace and Out of Eden.  A cool fact about Out of Eden is that all three members are sisters.  Before the end of school, I want to have an end of the year party at my house, if we haven't sold it yet that is.  But I'd only invite my friends like Paulina, Emily, Alicia, Maureen, Robin, Cori, Kevin, Natalie, and all my other anime-crazed friends!  The high school I'll be going to is Tesoro, home of the Titans!  I'll have my own movie!  We are the Titans!  The mighty mighty Titans!  Ok, back to reality!  I'm going to join the Anime Club there as well as the Japanese Club.  I can't wait for high school!

Three things I do well are:

1. I love to write stories so I can express myself.  Most of my stories are fanficitons, which are stories written by fans about a book, movie, or TV show.  I'm working on two stories at the moment and I've already finished one story and two songfic.  I am currently posting my stories on the internet on a website.  My most recent completion is Another Way In?, an Inuyasha/X-Men story.

2. Another thing I do well is swim.  I love to swim because it helps me relax.  Plus, I don't get sweaty and I don't tire that easily when I swim.  I'm very good at it and I swim every chance I get (except during Gilligan's Island at camp).  Swimming is one of my very few passions.

3. Drawing is another way I like to express my self.  I love to draw my favorite characters from shows and my own characters.  The only things I don't like to draw is landscape and still life, it's just too boring in my opinion.

Three things I would like to improve about myself are:

1. I want to be better when it comes to speaking in public.  I'm not very good at giving speeches, and I'd like to be better.

2. I want to be better in sports.  I'm not very athletic except in swimming.  I mostly want to improve in basketball and volleyball.

3. The last thing I want to improve about myself is to be more assertive.  I always let people walk all over me and I want to stand up for myself.

Three things I enjoy doing are:

1. Going on the internet.  I love surfing the web.  Some of my favorite websites are Homestarrunner.com.

2. Listening to music.  I like all kinds of music like alternative metal, rock, rap, hip hop, and Christian music.

3. Talking in the phone with my friends; mostly Robin.  We talk for 2 or 3 hours a day and at least 5 hours on weekends!  It's a good thing I have a cell phone and I get free minutes, or else I'd have a LARGE phone bill!

A goal I have for this year is to get on the Principal's Honors list.  I've already gotten on the Honors list numerous times, and I want to go to the next level.

I will achieve this goal by:

1. Studying hard.

2. Completing all my homework accurately.

3. Focusing on my schoolwork.

Three careers that I am interested in are:

1. I want to become an authoress because I love creative writing.

2. A psychiatrist because I want to help with their problems (and you make a lot of money).

3. Working at Wild Rivers!  I'm going to be working there this summer and it already looks like fun!

Three school subjects related to my career interests and why are:

1. English, so I don't make grammar mistakes when I write my stories.

2. Literature because I should know about other literacy works before I write my own.

3. Math, because I'll need it to help me with money and finance.

This year I have learned how to make a webpage.  I'm thinking about creating my own website during the summer, when I'm not working at Wild Rivers that is.
