Ryann Sweenie hi

"They open a hole and dig it deep, but fall into the pit they have dug."
Pslams 7:16

1I started my Serra career in the 1st  grade.  My teacher was Miss Mckeehan.   The people that helped me feel welcome are my friends now.  My best friends were Channing C., Kelsey K, Michelle P., and a lot more. My teacher made learning fun.  She helps me how to read and write. Another thing that was really cool when I was younger was Flat Stanley.  We had a lot of fun.   What I remember most though is that we always had somebody be special kid of the week. That was a lot of fun.  And I was also in her wedding, which was a lot of fun and exciting.

2In second grade, my teacher was Mrs. Balsis.  She was a great teacher.  I think I remember the most is the dinosaur project.  Mrs. Balsis helped me advanced my reading and writing.  I also met a new friend in that grade who was Emily McCormick.  And we also had to learned a lot about our faith and religion because by the end of the year we were able to get up at mass and get the communion.

3In third grade, my teacher was Mrs. Diemer.  She was another great teacher.  I learned how to write in cursive. On Mardi Gras we made masks and went to room to room showing them off.  And I was also in the play which was "Joseph and the Technique Colored Dream Coat".  I was only in the choir though with the different colored shirts on.

4In fourth grade, my teacher was Mrs. Sandfort.  In third grade I was nervous what teacher I was getting for the fourth grade.  But when I heard I got Mrs. Sandfort I still was a little nervous to meet her, but when I did she seemed like a very nice teacher.  In the beginning of that year I couldn't barely understand her because of her accent, but towards the middle or the end of the year I got used to it.  I also met some new friends in that grade, Dayeanne Hutton, Carrie Muller, and Bridget O'Keefe.  We seemed to love frogs a lot but we had a lot of fun together at recess and lunch.  That year we also had the mission projects and I got to go to San Francisco and learned about Mission Dolores.  I took pictures while I was there and made a scrapbook.  We learned about pioneers too.  Also that year we went on the pilgrim.  I remember that I was so mad that all of my friends were in the galley and I was in a group with all boys and one girl, Mallory W.  But overall the pilgrim was fun.

5In fifth grade, my teacher was Miss Lipka.  She was young and hip.  We had raffles every Friday and if you got picked out of the jar, you would get DVS stickers or key chains because her boyfriend worked for DVS.  And while we were working in class she would be eating something.  Whenever she wasn't teaching she was having something to eat.  But when she was teaching she would be sipping on soda.  She was really funny and always cracked jokes in class or outside of class.  Also that year we had some new kids. One of them was my friend Montana S.  But that year I was friends with everyone.  In technology that year we wrote a paragraph about our heroes.  That was the year where we started switching classes and felt like big kids. The one really big project of that year was the state reports and I did Nevada.  Luckily I have been there before.

6In sixth grade, my teacher was Mrs. Fiore.  She made homework and class work hard but it did prepare us for the upcoming years.  Like the year before, we had raffles for free dress passes.  The big thing that year was Science Camp which was at the very end of the year.  In my cabin my friends were Natalie N. and Montana S.  I had a lot of fun up there in the mountains.  I remember one morning I woke up and the news was on the television in my parents room saying something about a plane crashing into a building.  When I heard about it I didn't think it was that big of a deal until another thing on the TV. popped up about another plane crashing into the Pentagon.  Then I new something was wrong.  I was late to school that day like everyone else because we were all watching the news.  And on the way to school another plane crashed.  And so when I got to school I remembered that Mrs. Fiore was from Pennsylvania and her family was there and a lot of her friends were in New York at the time too.  She was very upset.  Today, that day, September 11, 2001 is very much remembered.

7In seventh grade, my teacher was Mrs. Tilton.  She is very religious and strong about her faith. That year in science we learned a lot about the animal kingdom.  Mine was the giraffe.  We also learned a lot about cells and the inside of animals and humans and plants.

8In eighth grade, my homeroom teacher was Mrs. Budhabhatti.  In math and science with Mrs. Budhabhatti I have learned about atoms and electrons, and polynomials.  In religion with Mrs. Tilton I learned about all of the popes.  In social studies with Mrs. Muzzy I learned about the Civil War.  In Language Arts with Ms. Palmiotto I learned about adverbs and prepositions.  The highlight of 8th grade was leadership camp in the beginning of the year.  It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot about leadership.  I can't wait to go to Disneyland.
