e . John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son so that all who believe in Him may not perish, but have eternal life." (explanation)

I started my Serra career in the 2nd grade.  My teacher was Mrs. Balsis.   The people that helped me feel welcome were Zach C, Justin D and J Matthew S. My friends back in 2nd grade helped me fit in with the rest of the guys.  I remember the time when Zach asked me if I would like to ditch school and go to Disneyland for the day.  We waited in line for Rocket Rods for 2 hours!  I never played hooky again.  But things were turned around once Justin introduced me to all his friends: Justin C, J Matthew S, Eric C and Erik B.  I felt so special knowing that I had friends I could hang out with and joke around with.

My teacher made learning fun.  She used life situations to help us understand math better.  I remember her relating 12 farmers were sitting on a log and were about to split apples between each other.  So, before they passed out the apples, they had to count how many farmers there were so they knew how many apples to pass out.  One person counted and realized that there were only 11 farmers...another farmer counted and also only counted 11 farmers...the solution to the problem was that the farmer who counted didn't count himself.

What I remember most was playing tag with the girls, we would decide that boys would be it Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and the girls were it Tuesdays and Thursdays. Or Vise Versa...I don't quite remember the days.

In the 3rd Grade,  my teacher was Mrs. Landry.  She was so much fun.  I remember the days when Mrs. Landry would bring in her wiener dog, Frankie, for our show and tell.  This was also the year when Stephen Hansen entered our school.  I remember the day when Jamie Myskie and I were chosen to be the "Teachers for the day", that was so great.  Jamie and I got to relax and just give out answers while the rest of the students had to do work and correct papers. Till this day, I still remember the day when Steven S., Taylor D., and I performed "Kung Foo Fighting" in front of the whole class for P.E, that was the best!  At the end of the year, Mrs. Landry announced Finals for all the subjects we covered over the year.  I was so nervous!  But in the end...during my parent-teacher conference,  Mrs. Landry showed my parents and me my results...I did really well!

4th Grade seemed like such a long year for me.  Maybe because there was so much work.  Mrs. Sandfort was my teacher and boy was she tough.  The mission project was very tough, Kurt and I both did videos about our mission and we both got Bs!  Oh well.  I remember that this was the year that Kurt L joined our school.  Because I knew him before he came here, I welcomed him everywhere and to everyone.  The other classes were allowed to switch classes in between subjects...we didn't.  I remember Kurt and I staying up till 9 o'clock working for 4 hours trying to finish our homework.  We were never used to this much work.  Anyways, that began to pass and moved on towards the end of the year... when we took off for an over night adventure of living like sailors on the Pilgrim.  I personally thought the food was good...others didn't.  I remember that my group was the Hide-Gatherers.  Stephen M. was our Captain.  Our adult counselor gave us a duck to give to the captain and he said that she would love it (yes, our captain was a girl).  But, she hated it!...She kicked the hide of the duck and went berserk!

5th Grade is the year that I will never forget!  I could go on and on about 5th grade.  This was one of my favorite years, maybe because I had MRS. PETERSON!  She was so much fun.  I would remember the times when Mrs. Povey and Mrs. Peterson were right next door, they would barge into each others classes and make us all laugh.  I remember the day, during English, when she wrote on the board "the teacher wrote this on the board and threw the eraser across the room and stormed out of the room."  and did exactly what she wrote!  It was Hilarious!  I remember that this was the first year I got to switch class rooms in between subjects.  Mrs. Lipka was my science teacher, she gave out DVS stickers when ever we got an A on a test.  We also had the state projects, I had Indiana which is where my grandparents live, we were so happy.  I made the INDY 500 Stadium and added sound and everything...I got an A of course.  This year we performed the stations of the cross.  I was Pontius pilot, Michael W. was Jesus, and Justin and Brent were the soldiers.  We performed about 6 performances.  I remember the night we had to perform in front of the parents, Kurt was late so I had to take his spot as Joseph.  Kevin R. took my spot as pilot and everything was settled.  I'll never forget when I had to pose with my hands in the air and kneeling on my knees on the spiky floor of the dome for about five minutes!  This was also the first year of sports.  I tried out for the football team and made it!  Because I was a fifth grader, the sixth graders got more playing time.  But at the end of the year, I got an award for working so hard. Also, I tried out for the basketball team.  That was fun even though I didn't play a whole lot.  I remember St. Anne's had a guy that was like 6 foot!...it was so unfair.  Anyways,  volleyball was fun and I got to play a lot there.  We were about 6-1...it was great.

6th Grade was my first year in Middle school.  No more fooling around and time to get down to business.  I would look up to the 8th Graders like they were gods!  This year was the year that John, who is now my best friend, entered the school.  We had so much fun together that year.  I still remember the days that year and in 7th grade when John and I would sit right next to each other and lean back in our chairs, John was always the only one to get caught by Mrs. Tilton and get in trouble.  John has always been there with me to laugh and joke around with.  And if either of us wanted or needed advice from one another, we were wide open to give our opinion.  Ms. Passero was my teacher for 6th Grade.  She taught me S.S and Religion.  I hated it when Ms. Passero gave us Current Event projects.  Mrs. Tilton taught me English and Literature. And Mrs. Fiore taught me Math.  Ms. Passero would have binder checks every so often and I'll never forget getting Goldfish and Root Beer Floats on Fridays.  Mrs. Tilton would teach us the Jane Shaffer method and we read Tuck Everlasting.  Mrs. Fiore was great even though she was strict.  She would tell us really funny jokes like telling us that the Pillsbury Dough Boy dies because he got poked to many times.  Sixth grade was also the year we had a new principal, Mrs. Trudell.  Even though we missed Mrs. Tellers very much, we are glad Mrs. Trudell is now part of our school.  Sixth grade science camp wasn't very fun for me.  I didn't like it how the counselor was with you 24/7.  But I can understand their protection reasons.  This year for sports went really well for me.  Cameron B. (Serra student since 5th grade) and I were the starting Running Back and Quarter Back for the Football team.  I was the starting point guard for the basketball team.  At awards night, I received an award for all three sports.

7th grade was my second year in Middle school...we weren't the oldest, we weren't the youngest, but we were right in the middle.  This year we got in touch with the eighth graders then.  Our recess and lunch were always at the same time. And sometimes, we'd play basketball together and things.  Anyways,  that year was full of cruising and flying through homework, maybe that's because we had quite a few tests and projects.  Our teachers that year were Mrs. Tilton, Mrs. Matsukane, and Mrs. Marsh, Muzzy.  I always looked forward to Mrs. Matsukane's class...except if you didn't do your homework or forgot something.  Mrs. Tilton I've had for three years and she's taught me Religion, Lit and English...but she's also the one who inspired me to run for president....I personally just thought of running for something small, but Mrs. Tilton brought me to it.  This year was also a good year for sports for me.  The football team, I didn't get a whole lot of playing time (because I was a 7th grader) but still, that was fun.  For basketball, there were two separate teams dividing 7th grade and 8th grade.  I happened to be good enough to play with the eighth graders but I wanted to play more...This year was also the first year I joined the play.  The production was BYE BYE BIRDIE. I played the role of Hugo Peabody.  It was really fun.  Then, it came to that time again when the eighth graders graduated and we were moved to the oldest grade in Middle School.

This year I am in the 8th grade.  I am looking forward to walking down the isle wearing my graduation robe then, after picture taking and crying, will race over to the party that the 7th graders will throw for us.  I am also looking forward to playing football and basketball for the school team and acting in the play.  Because of my 7th Grade experience in the play, I will be participating in the play once more.  Also, I wish to at least take up a class in Drama after my days in the production of Bye Bye Birdie.  This year so far has been so fun.  I'll never forget going to Pali Mountain!  It was so much fun!  We raided cabins, had a dance, karaoke nights...

Three things I do well are:

1.Being the best person I can be.  No matter what happens, I always do my best even though it might not come out the way I hoped.  I believe my personality gets the best of me sometimes and usually that's a good thing.

2.Playing basketball.  I practice every single day to improve my game.  My All*Net Basketball team practices 4 out of 7 days a week.  The other three days, I am outside on my cul-de-sac shooting and dribbling and other fundamentals  needed to play the game.

3. Acting.  The reason why I believe that I am a good actor is because of my experience in acting in the production of Bye Bye Birdie.  Before and after performances I would receive comments and compliments that I'd do well, or I acted really well.  I believe my role in Bye Bye Birdie opened many doors for me.

Three things I would like to improve about myself are:

1. Academics.  The reason why I believe my academics could be better are because even though I give my best effort, I don't always receive the results I want.  I believe if I focus and concentrate more on my grades, there must be an improvement.

2. Sports.  No matter how good you become, you can always become better in a certain way.  You could be the best football player in the league, but you can always know that there is someone out there better than you are.  But once you stick with it and continue your progress and practice, you actually may end up becoming one of the best ever.

3. Personality.  My personality is one of the most important qualities a person can have.  A person with a great personality gets involved with their community whether its with sports or cleaning or representing your home town.  Scouts, college applicants and other important people don't look at how good you look, but how good you look on the inside.  And that's why I think I should progress in this quality.

Three things I enjoy doing are:

1. Playing Guitar because I like to pretend that I am in front of thousands upon thousands of people playing my own music and getting the crowd pumped up and excited.  I enjoy fame and glory.  But you don't get popularity for how good you look, but for how well you do your job.

2. Playing Basketball because I love the sport.  My passion for the game is incredible.  I live basketball, I eat it, drink it, BREATHE it.  My life revolves around basketball.  Besides schoolwork and my religion, of course, I focus my life on the game.  My dream is to play in the NBA and play against the best basketball players from around the world.

3. Talking on the computer while listening to music.  I don't really understand it either.  I just like talking to 10 people at once.  I like listening to the music I love.  I just find it fun, even though it is a waste of time.

4. Acting.  I enjoy going on stage and playing the part of someone else.  I enjoy memorizing lines and acting out the movements.  I enjoy looking into the audience and entertaining them.

A goal I have for this year is: Become the best person I can be, on and off the court.

I will achieve this goal by:

1. Showing respect toward others.  Respect is very important to being a great person.  If you don't respect others, they wont respect you.

2.Forgive, not revenge.  When someone sins against me.  It is my duty to forgive them and let it pass.  If you decide to fight back, the problem will get worse.

3.Be careful what I say because if something I say is mean, it could really hurt someone's feelings and I don't want that to happen.  If you say something mean to someone, that person will go on hating you and starts a bad reputation.

Three careers that I am interested in are:

1. Starting point guard for any NBA basketball team.

2. Traveling around the world on Tour with a band.

3. is anything related to Drama such as Warner Brothers employee, director, actor, etc.

Three school subjects related to my career interests and why are:

1. Music

2. P.E

3. Drama

This year I have learned that you must be patient with others and stay with your true friends.  Stick with the people who truly care about you and your well-being.  Continue to be with your friends and don't get caught in places you shouldn't be messing with.  If you know who your true friends are, and you understand what you are looking for in life, then you will be alright.
