John 3:16  For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

How this applies to life

I started my school career at Serra in kindergarten.  My teacher was Miss Smith.  On the first day of school my mom walked me into my classroom to met my teacher and to see my classroom.  I was very scared on the first day of school because there were a lot of people I did not know.  The people that helped me feel welcome were my friends and my teachers.  At the end of the year for my kindergarten graduation we all had to choose an animal to be.  I had to be a monkey.  I wanted to be a tiger, but I got a monkey.  My teacher made learning fun.  She always thought of fun and creative things to do.  For example, if we had a coloring project she would always think of something extra to do with it like name the people we were coloring or give them a biography of who they were and what they did.  What I remember most about kindergarten was the nap times.  Mrs. Smith would always give us candy if we were the best sleepers and we were quiet.  It also gave us a good time to catch up on our sleep if we were tired.  Another reason nap time was a good part of school was, we got to skip school work that we could have been doing to take a nap.

My next year in first grade I had Mrs. Miske for a teacher.  She was one of my favorite teachers.  She always supported her students in everything they did.  She always encouraged us to reach out to people who are being left out.  In first grade I remember playing my first year of baseball.  My team name was the blue jays.  After I finished the season I didn't want to play baseball anymore so I quit.

My second grade year was a great time.  I had Mrs. Balsis for a teacher.  We studied about the animals and nature that year.  We had to make a mural.  I made a mural of a dinosaur and its habitat.  Later on that year we got to dissect a creature, but I forget what it was.  Even though it was one of my best years I didn't like my teacher.  My second grade year was the year when I had my biggest Christmas list.  This was the year when I made my first holy communion.  I made it at Santiago de Compestella Church.   I was so proud because I thought it was so cool that could receive the Eucharist.  The coolest part was the May crowning mass where we got to wear our first communion outfits.

My third grade year I  had Mrs. Landry for a teacher.  She was one of the best teacher I had had my whole time I have been at Serra.  She was always into her wiener dogs.  She would always fill the classroom with pictures of her dog named Frankie.  She would also tells us what kid of tricks her dog would do and how he entered tons of races.  Every week she would do a raffle so we could win prizes.  During the week we would get tickets if we were good so we could put them in the raffle jar.  In third grade we had a day where we all got to bring in food for lunch and we got to eat as much as we wanted.  This day was called fat Tuesday.

My fourth grade year I had Mrs. Povey for a teacher.  She had her own little corner where none of us kids could go.  She called it the black hole.  She also had the wall which she claimed that the hung little kids on if they were bad.  In fourth grade we went on the pilgrim.  I was part of the boatswains crew.  I was also the head of the crew.  When we were on the ship we had the watch of 4:00 to 6:00 in the morning I was so tired.  Also in fourth grade we went to heritage hill.  We all got to dress up as if we were in the old days.  We wore vests, bandanas, and straw hats.  Also in fourth grade we built the missions.  I had the San Miguel mission.  It was one of the easier missions the teacher said.  Also in fourth grade we got to hit a piņata.  That year we had the school play of Annie.  Paige Palmer in my class and she was the star of Annie.  I never want to see the play but I heard it was a great play.

My fifth grade year I had Miss Lipka for a teacher.  She wasn't one of my favorite teachers.  That year we went on a trip to the aquarium of the pacific.  That was my favorite field trip of the year.  We got to touch some of the sea creatures.  Also that year we did the state reports.  My state was Idaho.  I picked that state because my grandma and grandpa live there.  For the Taste of America night I made potato salad, because Idaho is known for its potato's.  In the fifth grade we also went on a trip the Rancho Santa Margarita water district.  That place smelt so bad I couldn't even stand it.  It smelt like a sewer.  We learned how they purified the water and lots more.  The school play that year was Peter Pan.  It was an awesome play.  That was the only one of the school plays I ever went to.  In my fifth grade year we got to participate in the living stations by singing and the other class acted Stations of the Cross.

My sixth grade year I had Mrs. Tilton for a teacher.  That year we went to Science camp.  It was a lot of fun.  We got to do a lot of fun activities Science Camp.  That year we also worked on our natural wonders projects Natural Wonder Project.  We also read the book The Egypt Game.  It was one of the most boring books I have ever read.  We had to make a game for it and I made a monopoly type game.  The school play for that year was Cinderella.  I didn't go to the play and some people said it wasn't that great and others said it was awesome.

My seventh grade year Mrs. Matsukane was my teacher.  We first read the book the Bronze Bow.  It was an ok book.  I wouldn't suggest it.  We also went to medieval times.  That was the coolest field trip in 7th grade.  We got great food and a cool show.  We also got these cool slushies.  They were really good.  This is the year where we all had our first dance.  It was a lot of fun.  The DJ was great and everyone had fun.  The school play that year was Bye Bye Birdie.  It was directed by Mrs. Smerdel.  I heard it was a great one and funny too.  We got to only see little parts of it in school.

This year I am in the 8th grade.  We just got back from our 8th Pali Mountain leadership camp.  For some camp photos Click here.  It was a lot of fun.  We got to stay up until whatever time we wanted to.  At camp there was a lake and we got to go into it.  Lots of people didn't want to go into it because it looked all green.  The lake was freezing.  In the lake there were swimming frogs that we swim onto you and annoy you.  We also had a to do a ropes course.  On the high ropes there was something called the leap of faith.  You climb up a tree about 50feet and try to jump and grab a bar about 10 or 11 feet out in front of you.  I was the only one to do it for our school.  The food at camp was actually pretty good. We had food such as tacos, pizza, chicken, ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, and lots more.

Three things I do well are:

1.  Math and science.  I am good at math and science because they are two of the subjects that I actually enjoy.  I am also just good at it because I am good at math.

2.  Another thing I do well at is volleyball.  Last year I played on a club team at Saddleback Valley Volleyball Club.  Our team made it all the way to the Junior Olympics in Phoenix, Arizona.  We came in one of the top 3 spots for the silver division.

3.  Playing paintball is also another thing I do well at.  Paintball is my hobby.  I have been doing it for 3 years.  I have a lot of friends that go out on the weekends and just play for fun.

Three things I would like to improve about myself are:

1.  Tying to be more patient with people.  I sometimes am not a very patient person.  I want to try and become a patient person all the time.

2.  I would like to understand literature and English better.  These two subjects are my worst subjects.  I do not like these subjects.  I do horrible at them because I am not understanding it and it bores me.

3.  I would also like to try to work on my study skills.  I do not have good study skills.  If I do not have to do more than the requirement I wont do anymore.  I also study for many tests at last minute or not at all.

Three things I enjoy doing are:

1.  Playing paintball.  This is my favorite thing to do on the weekends.  I have been playing for three years and I have played in two tournaments.  My friends and I go out about two or three times a month and play.  We go out and play at Tombstone Paintball Park in Corona or S.C. Village also in Corona.  To check out a paintball website with the gear that you play with click here.

2.  Going to the movies.  If I am bored or on a Friday night I like to go to the movies.  On Fridays if lots of people are going to the movies I will go and hang out with them.

3.  Hanging out with my friends.  On the weekends I enjoy having my friends over and just chilling out.  If we are really bored I will think of some place to go.

A goal I have for this year is:  To always try my hardest

I will achieve this goal by:

1.  Never giving up on myself or doubting myself.  Sometimes I will give up on myself and just quit.  I want to try and always be positive.

2.  Always try to do the extra work and not just what is required.  This year I want to try and get good grades and try some extra credit.  I also want to study hard and do well on the Santa Margarita entrance exams.

3.  I will always try to have complete confidence in my work.  If I think I am not doing well in my work I will not give up and think it is horrible.

Three careers that I am interested in are:

1.  Professional Athlete.  This seems like a fun career because you get paid a lot of money and you get to enjoy the sport you are playing.

2.  Firefighter.  It seems fun to do this career because you get to go fast in a fire truck and go through red lights.  Also people look up to you because you could save their life one day.

3.  Lawyer.  A lawyer seems like fun because you get paid a lot and you get to argue with people.  I would be good at this because I always argue with my parents.  Also if you get paid a lot as a lawyer you could buy a nice car like this one click here the Saleen S7.  Check it out

Three school subjects related to my career interests and why are:

1.  P.E.  This relates to my athletic career because I have to be physically fit.

2.  Speech and Debate.  This relates to my lawyer career because I need to be able to give a speech and debate with people.

3.  Leadership.  This attribute helps me in the firefighter career because you need to be a leader and take control to put out a fire.

This year I have learned
