For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is
eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 Click Here To see how this verse applies to my life click here |
In kindergarten I attended a school called Wood Canyon. My teacher in kindergarten was Mrs. Riley I made many friends their and we did many fun projects. My best friend in kindergarten was Rory. I remember that at recess I used to play in the sand box and ride the little tricycles around. One day in remember we were learning about Santa and the teacher told us that if we left our shoes outside that Santa would leave candy in our shoes. When we came back we found candy in our shoes, but it was our teachers that put it there. We also had a feast for Thanksgiving and we all dressed up as an Indian or as a pilgrim.
In first grade I went to a school called Oak Grove witch is located in Aliso Viejo. My teacher was Ms. Pike. We did many fun projects such as art projects. Some of my good friends were Rory, and Ashtan. In first grade is when I first started to read and write. Our teachers gave us a journal and I remember that every day I would write in it and draw in it too.
In second grade I also attended Oak Grove, and my teacher was Mrs. Van Winkle. Her husband used to be a professional baseball player for the Anaheim Angels. In second grade we did many math assignments, and I enjoyed playing handball ,basketball and soccer. Some of my good friends in second grade were Matthew, Rory, Ashtan, and Travis. What I remember most in second grade was on the last day of school when we played many games and I won a stuffed animal, and when we had to do a science project about space and my friend Matt and I built the solar system with all of the planets and we painted them.
In third grade I switched schools to another school called Barcelona Hills. I made many friends there very quickly and they made me feel comfortable there. My teacher in third grade was Mrs. Bean. She was a very kind and was a great teacher. Some of my good friends in third grade were T.J, Jason, Michael, Scott, Kyle, Cory, and Joshua. Although that was my first year at that school I think it was one of the best years that I have ever had in school. What I remember most about that year was when one of my friends invited me to his Halloween party. We bobbed for apples, had an egg toss and did many other fun activities.
In fourth grade I also attended Barcelona Hills. My teacher that year was Mrs. Eschen. She was a little tough but she was a very good teacher. That year some of my good friends were Spencer, and Jason. I think that the subject she was the best at teaching was math. She was also a great social studies teacher. When we studied the Gold Rush I remember that we got into groups and we had to try to find a way to get to California by choosing a way to get there by rolling dice and I remember that when it was our turn to roll we got to sixes and got to take a short cut. That year I also started to play the violin. I used to like to play the violin, but I haven't played it lately.
In fifth grade my teacher was Mr. Fineberg. I think that he was my favorite teacher that I have ever had. He was pretty easy going and in all I think that he was a good teacher. We played many games in his class and every Friday he would split us up into groups and we would play Jeopardy, and if we got to school early then he would let us play basketball on his little basketball hoop that we had in our classroom. That year I also played the violin. We even through a baby shower after he told us that his wife was going to have a baby.
I sixth grade my teacher was Mr. Nelles. His class was very interesting because he had many animals. Some of the animals that he had in his room was Sunny, a thirteen foot albino python, Spencer, a ten foot python and Patches, his parrot who every weekend got to go to one of the students homes. Sometimes during class he would pick a group of students who would volunteer to clean any of the animal's cages if they were dirty. One of the activities that I enjoyed doing in his class was when we had to write a story on a subject he would give us and then on Friday we would have to read it out loud to the whole class.
I started my Serra career in the seventh grade. My teacher was Mrs. Matsukane. The people that helped me feel welcome were Michael Ahmari, Walter Villiam and Brian Hogan because they good friends and they were fun to hang out with. My best friend was Michael Ahmari.
Seventh grade was my first year here at Serra. When I first got here it took me a while to adjust, but after a while when I started to make some new friends I started to adjust a little. Something that I thought was a little weird was that Mrs. Matsukane lived down my street, and when my little sister lost our camera her daughter found it and returned it to us. During the Seventh grade we read a couple of books such as The Hobbit and The Bronze Bow which were both good books. I technology we did many educational projects such as the West Nile Virus project. animal projects.
My teacher made learning fun. She had a good personality and was a good teacher.
What I remember most when it was our last day at school.
