Psalm 33:10-12 |
I started my Serra career in the 2nd grade. My teacher was Mrs. Pongetti. The people that helped me feel welcome were Michael Rommel and Trevor Brooks. My best friend was Michael. My teacher made learning fun. She brought hamsters into the classroom. What I remember most were the hamsters.
In 3rd grade I had Mrs. Balsis. I had fun in third grade. I especially like working on group projects with my friends. We would get out at 12:30 every Friday. This was my first year that I started having projects and book reports.
In 4th grade my teacher was Mrs. Povey. Fourth grade was an exiting year because we learned how to do many things such as dividing numbers and multiplying them. I remember getting the best grade in the class on a math test and getting to wear Mrs. Povey's Marvin the Martin slippers. We also went on the Pilgrim and stayed over night. I got to row in a boat across the harbor. We also created a report on a pioneer. My pioneer was John Freemont.
In 5th grade Mrs. Peale was my teacher. I liked fifth grade because I got to wear green shirts and kaki shorts instead of the blue pants. One project that I did was a project where I wrote about my hero. My class helped put the yearbook together by gluing pictures on pages and putting them together in a book. At the end of the year Mrs. Peale gave us certificates for our personalities or what we were strong at. For example I was given an award for being a good football player. We also made a slide show about the stations of the cross. That project was fun because we got to make a slide show about Jesus.
In 6th grade I was in Ms. Passero's class. We did a lot of work in her class. For example we made Egyptians folders and mummy coffins. We also had a soup drive for an orphanage in Italy. I visited a hospital during Christmas to talk with the ill people in there. We also had a Greek Olympics were we all competed in some games. Lastly we went to Science camp and I learned about nature. I learned how trees live, how birds act and behave, about the stars and the planets, and I became closer with my friends.
In 7th grade Mrs. Muzzy was my teacher. We did a lot of science related things. We examined starfish in the science lab and we examined plants under a microscope. An animal website was our big project in the computer lab. This was the year that we read the Hobbit and had a big project relating to the story. I partnered with my friend Trevor and we made a Hobbit board game. We also planned the 8th grade graduation, we planned a Lau and we put up decorations in the dome to look like a Lau. We also presented them with medals at the graduation ceremony.
This year I am in the 8th grade. I am looking forward to High School.
Three things I do well are:
1. Play Sports. I play sports well because I have God given talent and I play well in sports by working hard at what I do
2. Study in school. I study in school well because I focus and work hard. I study well by listening to the teachers and taking good notes
3. Get along with others. I get along with others well because I am outgoing and I am nice.
Three things I would like to improve about myself are:
1. Get better grades. I will do this by working hard and focusing in school.
2. Get to school on time. I will do this by getting to bed early and waking up early and getting ready quickly in the morning.
3. Complete my homework. I will do this by writing my homework down when it is assigned and by remembering to do it. I will also need to make time so that I can complete my homework
Three things I enjoy doing are:
1. Playing Football
2. Body boarding and surfing
3. Dirt biking
A goal I have for this year is: To graduate and to have decent grades
I will achieve this goal by:
1. Completing my homework, listening in class and learning the material, and I will need to turn in an assignment on time
2. Staying out of trouble. I will need to think twice about doing something so that I will stay out of trouble
3. Studying hard by bringing my book home before a test. By taking good notes that I will be able to use to study for a test.
Three careers that I am interested in are:
1. Playing professional Football because I think that I play the sport well.
2. Being a pilot because I like to fly on airplanes.
3. Becoming a Lawyer because I think I would be good at arguing my case
Three school subjects related to my career interests and why are:
1. P.E.- is related to football because I am staying in shape and working on my hand eye coordination
2. Math- would help me with being a pilot because It would help me to figure out a flight course.
3. English- would help me correctly write legal documents relating to a case.
