I started my Serra career in the 4th grade. My teacher was Mrs. Povey. The people that helped me feel welcome were the teachers and the students. My best friend was Paige P.
My teacher made learning fun. Mrs. Povey lets us wear slippers the whole day if we got a 100 on our multiplication and division time sheets. Also, in 4th grade in the middle of the year, we went to the Pilgrim for an over night field trip. Each group had a specific time they had to watch out on the boat for 2 hours. Our group had the midnight watch from 12:00-2:00. One of the other field trips we did that year was to "Heritage Hill." Heritage Hill was fun because it felt like you were back in the old days. It was also fun because we got to dress up as the little kids back in the old days. At the end of 4th grade, I had tried out for the play "Annie," and I had been a background dancer for the the song "Its a Hard Knock Life" . Also, in 4th grade we had done "Mission Projects." I got to do a mission project on Mission San Rafael.
In 5th grade my teacher was Mrs. Peale and she made learning fun by singing songs and reading to us. In technology, we got to write who our heroes are and mine was my dad. In January, we had started the state reports and I got to do Utah as my state. For the "Taste of America" night we got to make a special recipe from the state and I had made cookies. In the beginning of 5th grade we went on a field trip to "The Aquarium of the Pacific." That field trip was fun because we got to pet the sharks and the monarch rays. In 5th grade I had tried out for the play again which was "Peter Pan." I was in the chorus.
In 6th grade my teacher was Mrs. Fiore. She made my 6th grade fun by telling really interesting and funny stories. In 6th grade in the end of the year we went to Science camp. It was really fun. At science camp we went on hikes, and learned about the wildlife. At science camp we also got to spend a lot of time with our friends. This year I was not in the play. The play this year was "Cinderella." In 6th grade we read a lot of books like Tuck Everlasting. In technology, we had done a natural wonders of the world project. Our group was not chosen as one of the best but it was pretty good. This year, I had started Alter serving at San Francisco Solano.
In 7th grade my teacher was Mrs. Marsh for half of the school year. The other half of the school year Mrs. Muzzy came. In7th grade we took a field trip to Medieval Times. At Medieval Times we learned about some of the Emperors and how they fought in battles. In technology we did a project on the Animal Kingdom. The animal kingdom was where we could pick an animal and write a biography on that animal. The play that year was "Bye Bye Birdie."
Now I am in 8th grade and my homeroom teacher is Mrs. Budhabhatti. In the beginning of the year, we went to Leadership camp at Pali Mountain institute. Pali Mountain is a little bit above Lake Arrowhead. At leadership camp we learned how to be better leaders of the school, and to always trust each other.
Three things I do well are:
1. Being a good friend because I have not lost any yet.
2. Skiing because I go up to ski a lot and I am getting better.
3. Talking because I can never stop talking.
Three things I would like to improve about myself are:
1. Listening more in class because I am a chatterbox and I get in a lot of trouble for being a chatterbox, and I would not no what they are talking about, so I wouldn't know how to do the homework.
2. Wanting to read because I don't like to read.
3. Writing essays because I can't write essays that well.
Three things I enjoy doing are:
1. Hanging with my friends.
2. Skiing with my family.
3. Going on the computer.
A goal I have for this year is for the last trimester, get better grades.
I will achieve this goal by:
1. studying more.
2. doing my homework.
3. not talking as much.
Three careers that I am interested in are:
1
2.
3.
Three school subjects related to my career interests and why are:
1.
2.
3.
This year I have learned how to do a lot more cool things on the computer.
