 what this means to me

My primary grades K-2 were fun for me.

I started my Serra career in kindergarten. Kindergarten was a fun an exiting year. My teacher was Miss Smith. I had fun that year and advanced to the first grade. My teacher made learning fun. The people who made me feel welcome that year were the teachers. My first day I was nervous and exited to be going to kindergarten. I loved playing in the sand box and I remember how I would always look up to the older sixth grader the oldest at the school.

First grade, I had survived through kindergarten and now here I was no longer the youngest one there and also no longer the only one in my family there either. My younger sister has now attended Serra in the grade of Junior Kindergarten (JK). My teacher was Mrs. Enoch. She did a lot of stuff on holidays like we got letters from Santa Claus at Christmastime and the was green in the toilet bowls.

Second grade was when I first received my "First Communion" and my "Reconciliation" at my Church. That was exiting and my cousins and uncles and aunts came over. That year we also did our dinosaur projects where we built dinosaurs. My teacher that year was Mrs. Blain.

Intermediate Grades 3-5

Third grade was a fun year. the new thing that year for all the boys was poke'mon cards I remember a lot of boys collected them including myself. My teacher that year was Mrs. Diemer and that year I was trying to get really good grades. We also had a Mardi Gras Party and we went to every classroom and showed off our masks that we made.

Fourth Grade was the year I sort of struggled. That year we went on the pilgrim and it was an overnight field trip. That night we all had to have a watch and then tell the captain what we have seen. We went on another field trip heritage hill. It was placed in the time period of the 1800s and we all went to an old fashion schoolhouse called Heritage Hill and we were taught a lesson. That year we also did a mission projects and my mission was San Juan Batista. I remember my family made a trip there and I built my model. My teacher was Mrs. Finn.

Fifth grade seemed like the quickest year there was maybe it is because it was so fun and exiting. My teacher was Miss Lipka. Our last year of primary grades and I am exited to go on to the sixth grade. In that year we did our state report. my state was Texas and I studied the Alamo. I wrote a letter to the governor and I studied the history and the geography of not only Texas but the other 49 states as well. Also in Fifth Grade we did the Hero Projects. That year was the presidential election and our class did a class vote for the president. Most of the people here are Republican so, naturally most of the people here voted for Bush rather than Gore. Aside from the presidents we also voted on our favorite food and candy which was split up evenly.

What I remember most about my time at Serra is the middle school.

My homeroom teacher for the sixth grade was Mrs. Fiore. that year we switched classes and that made the year go by fast. the teachers that year were Mrs. Fiore-Math, Literature, and English, Mrs. Tilton- Religion, Ms. Passero- Social Studies, and Mr. Adair-Science. That year we went to overnight Science camp and we stayed there from Monday- Thursday. One of the books we read as a class was Tuck Everlasting.

In Seventh Grade my homeroom teacher was Mrs. Tilton 7C. That year I had Mrs. Matsukane and Mrs. Marsh/ Mrs. Muzzy. Mrs. Marsh/ Mrs. Muzzy taught me Social Studies and Science. Mrs. Tilton- Religion, Mrs. Matsukane Literature and English, and Mrs. Budhabhatti Math. That year in Science we did the Seventh Grade Animal Project. Also in seventh grade, we went to go see the show at Medieval Times.

In eighth grade I have Mrs. Budhabhatti as a homeroom teacher and she teaches me Math and Science. My other teachers are are Mrs. Palmiotto and she teaches me English and Literature, Mrs. Tilton-Religion and Mrs. Muzzy- Social Studies. This year we  are getting ready for High School. This year we went to a leadership camp called Pali Mountain.
