Religion

Vatican ll

I chose this piece of work because it was interesting to learn about the history of our church and the many changes that were instituted in this Council.

I learned from this assignment that masses used to be in Latin rather than the language of the country.

One thing I want to tell you about this assignment is that the council was called to increase the fervor of the church and bring the church leaders together.

Language Arts

Johnny Tremain essay

I chose this piece of work because it was fun to write about this inspirational piece of literature that changed my view of patriotism.  It showed me how one small person can make a difference in the lives of others.

This assignment taught me how to capture a reader's attention with good hooks and commentary sentences.

One thing I want to tell you about this is that you shouldn't talk about your essay subject in the hook of your introductory paragraph.

Math

Matter

Checkbook

I chose this piece of work because I enjoyed learning about how weight and mass differs on separate planets because of their size.

I learned about how to calculate exponents and mass on Windows XP

I choose the checkbook project because it showed me how to ration money and set up a checking account.

Science

Oil Pollution

I choose this project because I enjoyed doing a project that was both fun and informative and also that it was my first project in PowerPoint on Windows XP and it was fun to have all the new additions to adapt to from the Windows 2000.

This assignment taught me about the individual dangers of each of the main types of oil pollution and how important it is for everybody to work together and do their part to help prevent oil pollution.

Something that I would like to tell you about this project is that approximately 306 million gallons of oil is released per year.

Social Studies

The Civil War Timeline

Civil War Letter

Civil War Map

Vocabulary

Propaganda Posters

I chose these pieces of work because I enjoyed learning about this conflict within our country

In these assignments I learned that, the Civil War was not just a small event in American history but a dramatic event that took place over more than 4 years.

One thing I want to tell you about these assignments is that when the Confederate capital in Richmond, Virginia was captured, it eventually triggered the Southern general, Robert E. Lee's, surrender to the Union.  This was the final battle of the Civil War.
