Vatican II Slideshow

I chose this piece of work because it is one of my favorite religion projects we did in technology class. I loved learning about Vatican II and information and transformations of the church.

From this assignment I learned about how Vatican II started and what changes were bought upon the Catholic church. I also learned about Pope John XXIII and why he started the Vatican.

One thing I want to tell you about this assignment is that the Vatican II researching was really cool and it was interesting to find out all the information about what happened because I learned so many new things from this technology project.

Language Arts

Johnny Tremain Essay

I chose this piece of work because it was an essay that I wrote by
myself in class with some help of Ms. Palmiotto. She made writing a
Jane Schaffer essay a fun and easy learning experience for me. This essay is from a book we read in class called Johnny Tremain. It was a story that took place before The Revolutionary War. It was a pleasurable and exciting book to read in class with my classmates.

From this assignment I learned how to write a better essay using the format of Jane Schaffer. I learned how to come up with better phrasing of sentences and how to find synonyms of words we already used.

One thing I want to tell you about this assignment is that it was actually really fun and a great practice of writing an essay that will prepare me for further writing that I will be doing during high school.

Math

Matter Project

I chose this piece of work because I liked to figure out the different
weights on each of the different planets.  I was surprised in many ways by the different elevations of weight each of the planets had when I entered the specific weight I wanted and how it always weighed differently.

From this assignment I learned the differences between weight on each of the planets and different math calculations or equations to figure

One thing I want to tell you about this assignment is that it was really challenging to figure out how to convert the different measurements using the computer. I never really use the computer to calculate measurements or weights, so using the computer was fairly difficult.

Science

Oil Pollution Project

I chose this piece of work because I thought it was fun and exciting
because I loved to looking up the research and information on oil
pollution on the internet.  I really enjoy making slideshows because
it's really fun to play with the animations and many different kinds of
sounds that are available.

From this assignment I learned about different kinds of pollution
 and how they affect our world and the life it destroys.  It helped me
realize the destruction that it causes in our world today.

One thing I want to tell you about this assignment is that polluting really does destroy our world and we should try hard to stop people from polluting our world!!!!!

Social Studies

Civil War Letter

I chose this piece of work because I had super fun imagining I was someone else and writing a letter home to my parents from the battlefield. I liked writing about the difficult and pleasurable times during the Civil War.

From this assignment I learned about slavery and about the hardships slaves faced. I also learned about the lives that army soldiers faced while fighting for slaves rights and how tortured many people were during the Civil War.

One thing I want to tell you about this assignment is that imagining to be someone from a past life was really entertaining and fun. Learning new and exciting information was also cool.

Diego Rivera PowerPoint Presentation

 I am proud of my Spanish Final PowerPoint Presentation on Spanish muralist, Diego Rivera. I made this in my elective, Advanced Spanish. It was really fun to do because Senora Guzman is one of the coolest and most fun teachers here. She definitely made this project easier because she helped me put it all together. I also presented this to the whole Middle School as a special presentation and demonstration from my elective. This was so cool!!
