Religion

I chose this piece of work because the Vatican Council was very interesting to learn about and especially the Pope who had started it.

From this assignment I learned that there was many changes along the ways back then in our religious beliefs.

One thing I want to tell you about this assignment is that God's plan becomes very clear to you as you believe what you shall accomplish in life and what God's mission is for you to fulfill.

Math

I chose this piece of work because it shows part of what we have been learning the most in Serra School. The Metric System was a very easy part of math this year because it had different signs like negative and positive. For example, a negative and a positive equals a negative, a positive and a positive equals a positive, and a negative and a negative equals a positive. Kind of weird don't you think? I mean the negative and the negatives? The reason for that is because they both come together and can't equal anything negative.

From this assignment I learned different things that I thought would make a difference in learning about different math facts that you should abide by in early future. For example, we were taught something called PMDAS. This means Parenthesis, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction.

One thing I want to tell you about this assignment is that this helped me a lot with my math skills. Now I think I will be more prepared  in the near future and succeed in high school.

Science

I chose this piece of work because it was a lot of fun making the atom. I love to draw pictures on the computer because they seam so animated and you just want to be creative while working on a piece of work not by hand but with a mouse. Of course, your pictures aren't exactly going to be perfect, but the best part of all is that it made learning fun.

From this assignment I learned that an atom has many parts to it and different energy levels. The nucleus is one of the most important parts of the atom because it has the protons and neutrons. Around the nucleus, there are electrons that are strongly attracted to the positively charged nucleus. So that concludes the history of the atom.

One thing I want to tell you about this assignment was that first I wasn't really interested in Science because I didn't know how to make learning fun for me, but as we did this project I found that I learned a lot more about Science and different things that I would probably 

Social Studies

Civil War Timeline

I chose this piece of work because it was very interesting to learn about and I enjoyed looking up about people in the past that have worked on different jobs in the Civil War and helping out on making the war complete.

From this assignment I learned about different time periods, the life of a slave, and what presidents had won the election and some that lost the elections.

One thing I want to tell you about this assignment was that I thought it was very worth while and I learned a lot that I might have not learned before and  found it very interesting in some of the works they did in the Civil War. There was also different slaves who had made a difference in this world and that also helped out with the other slaves in the Civil War for example, Harriet Tubman helped escape over 100,000 slaves in the Underground Railroad, now I think that was a huge accomplishment and something that made a difference in our lives because now many people look up to her. She is considered a hero in our generation now and we study about her in the Civil War and even in black history. I enjoyed this project a lot and hope to do another one like this in the future.
