Have you ever read a book were a newspaper altars the life of a person? In Johnny Tremain, the Boston Observer changes the Johnny’s life and helps him to regain self-esteem. The people at the Boston Observer also help to develop Johnny.
Rab, who works at the Boston Observer, Teaches Johnny to believe in himself. An example of this is, “it wasn’t the food itself that so raised Johnny’s hope it was Rab himself.” Rab’s optimism toward everyone around him greatly influences Johnny. Also, in a time of need, Rab presents everyone with ambition. In sum, Rab is Johnny’s resource for confidence.
Johnny, who is an employee of the Boston Observer, does not dislike his new life. “This was Johnny’s new life, he liked it…” shows that his life changes. Johnny although loving his old job of a silversmith, he begins to like his new life at the Boston Observer. Also, Johnny obtains a new beginning within learning the values of the Boston Observer. The Boston Observer becomes a good replacement for his old life of happiness.
