CHANNING ARIANNA CALDERON

  1  I started my Serra career in the 1st  grade.  My teacher was Miss. Mackeehn.   The people that helped me feel welcome were Ryann , Clarissa, Marta, Julie, and Cori.  It was pretty easy for me to make friends my first year at Serra because everyone was so friendly. This was also my teacher Miss. Mackeehans first year here at Serra.   Miss Makehan read us stories and made learning fun.  I remember on St. Patrick's day  we made leprechaun traps. The next day we came to school which was St. Patrick's day there were little green footprints all over.  There were also little treats in our traps that we had made.  We would pretty much have a little class party for every holiday.    Miss Makhean had a little beanie baby that was supposed to be the Serra bear and if we were good it got to sit on our desk during the day.  Another plus about miss makehan is  when I was in second grade she asked me to be the flower girl in her wedding.

 2    My second grade year at Serra I had Mrs. Balsis as my teacher.  The starting of this year was very exciting.  I had lots of the friends I had met the previous year and many more.  Mrs. Balsis was a great teacher.  She had a great way of teaching us and making all the material stick in our heads.  This year we experienced switching classes , but only the teachers would move around .This was the first year we learned multiplication.  I remember we would have contests whoever finished the sheets first  and  got them all right got a point on the board.  On Halloween we made ghosts that were hollow and made out of this white material.  For P.E. we had to make up dances which was very fun.

  3  Third grade I had Mrs. Diemer.  This year I made a lot of new friends like Mandy N., Kaelie S., Katie K., and Megan W,.  All I can really remember is that we got to switch classes which made us think we were all cool like the 8th graders. We also got  a Hawaiian party.    Every week  everyone that didn't  get any conduct points off would get an ice cream party at the end of the trimester.  Third grade was also the last year that I did pop Warner cheer.  Pop Warner cheer is cheering for football players.  My team as the eagles.

  4   Fourth grade was a big step up.  We were going to be treated like the older kids, or we thought.  We got binders and had to take our own note.  Mrs. Sandfort was my teacher.  This year we went on the Pilgrim which I was really looking forward to.  We had to take a test, but if you didn't pass you weren't able to attend.  I was in the galley crew Dayeanne was my mate.  Since we were in the galley crew we got to cook all the meals, and serve it to everyone.  If there was extra dessert we would get to eat it.  We also had to do a mission report which was a huge project.  I visited my mission which was in Los Angeles.   My project was a scrapbook.  We also went to a place called heritage hill.  heritage hill is a place that is supposed to be old fashion school.  We were each given a name mine was Nelly.  it was so fun.  When we first arrived we were given an outfit and bonnet.  Our teacher acted like we really were from along time age.  This year i started competitive all star cheer.  I was on Team USA  with Kaelie S., And Erynn H.

 5  Fifth grade I had Mrs. Peterson.  My friends were Ryann, Mandy, Katie, Julie, Emily, and Mallory.  Mrs. Peterson always had a new and exciting way of teaching us.  One thing we did was math baseball.  She also had white boards that we would do math or answer questions on.  We also had the big state reports.  I had North Dakota which I didn't get to pick  because I wasn't there the day they picked their states.  After we were all done with our state reports we had taste of America.  Taste of America was when we had our projects on display and  made the governors favorite food.  I remember putting so much work into my report.  Plus this this was a big step up.  This was a big step up for me because we had to make so many note cards and finish  the report in class.  Which meant no help from our parents.

 6  6th grade we went to Science camp and these are some pictures Science Camp Pictures.  My teacher was Mrs. Fiore.  She is very good at math, and that was her favorite subject.  Every math class we had to do add sheets.  Add sheets are little reviews of math.  We also went to Science camp up in Big Bear.  We did lots of fun activity's and stayed up there for a week.  I had a really fun cabin.  Our counselor wasn't that nice though.  While we were there we got to go on night hikes and day hikes.

 7   7th grade Mrs. Muzzy was my teacher.   I really had  a woman named Mrs. Marsh but she was fired in the middle of the year .We learned lots of new things and were getting ready to be 8th graders.  Mrs. Muzzy was one of my favorite teachers.  She was really nice and was just a good teacher.  We went to Medieval times.  I was on the green team.  The food was really good and it was really fun watching them doing tricks on their horses. This was also the year of our first dance.    

  8   This year I am in 8th grade.  So far the year has been good.   I know that this year I am going to have to work the hardest out of all my years here.  Leaving Serra and getting into high school is going to be a big turning point in my life. I will be meeting all new teachers and friends.  Classes are going to be a lot harder and I don't think it is going to be as easy as we all think.  We've started practicing the test to getting to high school. We just got back from leadership camp a few weeks ago.  It was really fun.  I thought it was more exiting than 6th grade science camp.  This  my first year of cheer for O.C. all stars .  This has been my favorite  year of cheer so far.

All my teachers made learning fun.  She always had new ways of teaching

What I remember most about the 1st grade was when I got to go to lunch and a movie with my teacher Mrs. Mackeehan.

Three things I do well are:

1. competitive all star cheer

2. surfing               

3. gymnastics

Three things I would like to improve about myself are:

1. I would like to be more friendly and open to all the people I am not that close to

2. I would like to be more religious

3.I would like to be more flexible for cheer

Three things I enjoy doing are:

1. I like to do competitive cheer

2.I like to watch television

3.I like to hang out with my friends

A goal I have for this year is:

1.getting my full

2.getting good grades

3.getting right back into cheer from my injury

Three careers that I am interested in are:

1.Buisness women

2.Fashion Designer

3.Actor

Three school subjects related to my career interests and why are:

1.P.E. because you need to be in good shape

2.Math because you need to get all the measurements right

3.You don't need to be good in any particular subject
