John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he
gave his only Son, so that everyone
who believes in him might not perish
but might have eternal life.

I started my Serra career in the kinder garden.  My kinder garden teacher was Mrs. Reise.   Mrs. Reise made it fun because of the games and activities she used.  The people that helped me feel welcome here my new-found friends.  My best friend was Zac C.  Zac was my friend, until he left in seventh grade.  But my relationship with my teachers, and other teachers grew as well.

My teachers made learning fun in their own special ways.  My first grade teacher, Mrs. Enoch, was my favorite teacher because of her way of teaching us while playing games.  One reason she was my favorite was because of "Wacky Wednesday" or "Fun Friday", when we would play a game, dress up in our pajamas, or we could have a day of exciting activities.

Mrs. Blain was my second grade teacher.  We had lots of fun when we dissected the owl pellets that J. Matthew's dad brought in from his work at El Toro Air Base.  I can still remember touching the rat fur on accident without my gloves.  I got in trouble.  I also remember when Andrew M. got in trouble for writing "naughty" things on a piece of paper.

What I remember of third grade was a lot.  I had  Mrs. Balsis.  I remember the one day her daughter came and taught us.  We also wrote to pen pals, and in the last week of school we got to meet them.  My pen pal was José. We had lots of fun that day: playing dodge ball, and many other games.

Fourth grade was with Mrs. Povey, the Pioneer Project, and the Pilgrim.  I still can remember I was a "Hide Gatherer", with our "Mate" Kevin R.  We rowed and gathered cattle hides away from the ship.  When we rowed back to the ship, the captain said that we had not gathered enough, but that it was ok.  We had a great time on the Pilgrim.  I can still remember  Shayne C. sucking on that onion of his because he had spoke out of turn.

My fifth grade teacher was Ms. Peale.  Are biggest project was the State Project.  The State Project was hard, especially with Tennessee, but I got it done with a flying -A, I think.  We also got to go the Aquarium.

Sixth grade I had Mrs. Passero and Science Camp.  We had a lot of projects, but I got them done too, what did you expect for me?  I had fun.

Last year in seventh grade was difficult because we had to adjust to Mrs. Marsh and her unique style of lecturing/teaching.  In computer class we did an  Animal Project that also went with science.  I chose a raccoon.  But later that year Mrs. Marsh "resigned," and we got Mrs. Muzzy.

This year, in eighth grade, I have experienced many fun times with Mrs. Tilton and Mrs. Muzzy. Earlier in the year, we made a coat of arms in technology class.  This  year we also went to leadership camp.  That was lots of fun.

What I remember most were the lunches.  At lunch each year we would always play football or kick-ball against the older kids, and normally they won.

Three things I do well are:

1. I excel in playing ice hockey, volleyball, and other sports because I have been playing them for a long time.

2. I also excel in playing my guitar because I practice a lot.

3. I also am very good at having fun with my closest friends.

Three things I would like to improve about myself are:

1. I would like to improve myself by being open minded.

2. I would like to improve myself by also getting to know and to understand others

3. I would like to improve myself by also being more like a leader.

Three things I enjoy doing are:

1. I enjoy playing ice hockey, volleyball, and other sports.

2. I also enjoy reading, especially Michael Crichton and Orson Scott Card.

3. I also enjoy having fun with my closest friends.

"A goal I have for this year is to pass eighth grade and have a "B"       average."

I will achieve this goal by:

1. I will achieve this goal by studying hard for upcoming tests, quizzes, and pop-quizzes.

2. I will achieve this goal by also getting to know the materials.

3. I will achieve this goal by also by paying more attention in class.

Three careers that I am interested in are:

1. I am interested in becoming a "Jimi Hendrix" or "Jimmy Paige" level guitar player because I enjoy playing my guitar.

2. I am also interested in becoming a professional hockey player in the NHL because I enjoy playing hockey.

3. I am also interested in becoming a firefighter because I would take pride in saving others' lives.

Three school subjects related to my career interests and why are:

1. Becoming a famous guitarist because of music.

2. Becoming a hockey player goes back to P.E.

3. Becoming a firefighter relates to P.E., in the sense that you need maintain and have a good, in-shape physical and mental constitution.

This year I have learned that friends are sometimes more important than school.
