Sherman William Tecumseh was a Union General in the Civil War and was told to
be the greatest of the Civil War Generals

Ulysses Simpson was commander in chief of the union army in the civil war

Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution is ratified
1869-
Central Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads are joined at Promontory,
1870- The
fifteenth amendment gave the blacks the right to vote
1877- First
telephone line is built from
1882- U.S
adopts standard time
1886- Statue
of liberty is devoted
