1 Corinthians 13:4

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

Why I chose this verse

In kindergarten through fourth grade I went to Foothill Ranch Elementary school.  It was a public school so I was allowed to wear free dress every day.  In kindergarten my teacher's name was Miss Rose.  Then she got married and became Mrs. Oveson.  She was a very kind teacher.  We had a class pet and it was a hamster.  The kindergarteners had there own playground and I always looked forward to playing on it.  When my teacher read stories to us, she helped me understand them.  In kindergarten I became a Daisy.

In the first grade, my teacher was Mrs. Brackett.  We also had a class pet.  What I loved the most was taking Mr. Bear home.  Everyone loved him.  I started Brownies and I loved it.  Also, during recess I got to play on the big kid playground.  To me, it was a miracle.  In the first grade I also learned how to read most words.  Also, in first grade, I started to play soccer, which I love.

In second grade I had my first Communion. I didn't have a ceremony at school because my school wasn't Catholic.  My teacher was Miss Daerr.  It was the only grade that my best friend and I got to be in the same class.   I am always going to remember the time when I got in trouble, I was horrified.  I was out by the tetherball courts and one girl told me to sit on it and swing.  It sounded like fun, so I did it.  The supervisor caught me and I got in trouble.  I came home crying while feeling really bad.

My third grade teacher's name was Mr. Jeffrey. He was a really cool teacher.  We did the project about the rainforest.  We each got an animal and mine was a Toucan.  I was proud of it when my parents came to look at it.  Another project was the solar system. Once again everyone got a planet and I got Mars. That year I learned a lot of interesting information.

My fourth grade teacher was Mrs. Heaton.  She was one of my favorite teachers.  My favorite thing about that grade was when we were making our own time capsules.  The day after we finished making it my teacher came to school dressed in a future outfit and she looked really cool.  In the fourth grade we also had an Indian Day and got to learn about the Indian culture.  Everyone came dressed up in Indian clothes.  We made certain crafts and we all enjoyed it.  The fourth grade was the last year I was in Brownies. Also, I dissected a squid in the fourth grade.

After my fourth year of school, I went to Serra. I transferred to Serra because my mom wanted me to have a Catholic education and an understanding about the life of Jesus and what he did.

I started my Serra career in the fifth grade.  My teacher was Miss. Lipka.   The people that helped me feel welcome were Corinne O. and Brigette M.  They are my really good friends.

My fifth grade teacher made learning fun.  She told funny jokes that got the class going.   She told us interesting stories about her life that made us think hard.  Also, she introduced to a lot of people to me because that was my first year at Serra.  I will always remember that every morning she would walk into the classroom with Taco Bell in her hand.  During class, on a hot day when we were all thirsty, she would tempt us by drinking her soda from lunch.  She would always make us laugh.  During the fifth grade we did the state project, the Hero project, the Presidential Election and the Stations of the Cross.  Our school play was "Peter Pan".  I wasn't in this play, but my brother was.  He played John.

Mrs. Fiore, my sixth grade teacher, would  laugh with us and would give us exciting activities.  At the end of the year, we went to sixth grade science camp.  I was in a cabin with my friends Kristin and Brigette.  I learned a lot of information about my universe.  Also, we went on a field trip to see the play God spell.  Our school play was "Cinderella" and I was a townsperson.  What I remember most was when a boy put on a girl's one-piece bathing suit that was in the lost and found. When he saw it, he just put on over his clothes and started walking around the classroom.  It was very hilarious.  During the summertime, I went to England with my dad and brother.  It was really fun.

Mrs. Matsukane was my seventh grade teacher. She would tell us funny things to help us remember something for a test and would embarrass herself by acting something out for us.  She was a great teacher.  During the seventh grade we went to Medieval Times.  It was a blast.  One of our projects was the Animal  Kingdom project.  Also, our school play was "Bye-Bye Birdie."  Everyone enjoyed it.  During the summer, my mom and step dad got married.  They took us on their honeymoon and we went to Hawaii.  It was a nice time for our family to bond and get to know each other.

This year I am in the eighth grade.  I am looking forward to learning more facts about life and my religion. Also, I am looking forward to graduating, going to high school and meeting new people.  I have made a lot new friends this year such as Caitlin D. and Elizabeth H.  One of my best friends is Brigette M. I hope that this will be a great year

Three things I do well are:

1. I do well playing soccer because I have been playing all of my life.

2. I do well in math because my dad is a math doctor and he helps me a lot.

3. I do well while taking care of  little children because I have  a little brother and I am used to him.

Three things I would like to improve about myself are:

1. I would like to become smarter because I want to be a smart person when I grow up and I would like to teach others information.  I can accomplish this by studying harder and listening more in class.

2. I would like to not choke and get nervous when I talk in front audiences because right now I start shaking when I stand in front of audiences and I would like to feel normal so I can make presentations when I grow older. I can accomplish this by talking in front of audiences as much as I can and this can get me used to talking in front of people.

3.I would like to learn new tricks and become better in soccer because I want to get better in the skills I know.  I can accomplish this by practicing everyday and trying my hardest during games and every time I touch the ball.

Three things I enjoy doing are:

1. I enjoy hanging out with my friends because I can be myself and we can joke and laugh.  We hang out at each other's houses, outside, and at school.  We talk and eat snacks.

2. I enjoy going shopping with my friends because I love getting clothes and accessories while with my friends.  We walk around the mall and after we grab a few sweets to chew on.

3. I enjoy going on bike rides because I love looking at the nature around me and it helps me exercise.  I go on a trail by my dad's house and it is very long.  It can also make my muscles stronger.

A goal I have for this year is: getting better grades and becoming more intelligent

I will achieve this goal by:

1. I can study harder so I can understand the tests.

2. I can learn more in class so I could understand the information taught.

3. I can try harder on all of my work so I can do better on the work.

Three careers that I am interested in are:

1. Being a famous soccer player because I love the sport.  I can do this by becoming better and applying for scholarships.

2. Being a Pediatrician because I enjoy helping little kids and making them happy.  I can do this by studying and asking my uncle for help, he is a doctor.

3. Being a Preschool teacher because I love little children and I want to help them learn.  I can do this by trying to become more patient and learning the skills to be a teacher.

Three school subjects related to my career interests as a soccer player, pediatrician, and preschool teacher are, respective fully:

1. Physical education and math;  physical education because during the class you run and become fit for all sports including soccer; math because when you are trying to think of a play you need to know math skills to perform it.

2. Math, literature, and science;  math because you need to calculate problems;  literature because you need to know how to read;  science because you need to know scientific words and what they mean.

3. Math and literature;  math because you need to teach the kids math numbers;  literature because you also need to know how to read and you also need to teach the kids that subject.  A lot of other subjects are needed for this job, but are not as important.

This year I have learned about the Civil War, most of the popes, mathematical equations, and grammar.  I have also learned that their is a way to do good in school without stressing all of the time.  life is about changes, hardships, and happiness.  You just have to know the right road to take.  God will always be with you and help you through the road to Heaven.
