For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. |
I started my Serra career in the 1st grade. My teacher was Mrs. Enoch. The people that helped me feel welcome were my friends. My best friend was West M. We did lots of fun activities that helped us learn the material. We wrote letters to Santa, had a hunt on St. Patrick's day and the toilet bowl water was green. We also had a Christmas tree in the class during the Christmas time. She always made our lessons exciting and fun. We couldn't wait to come to school. That was the only year we were excited to come to school.
Second grade was an exciting year. My teacher was Mrs. Pongetti. That was the year we had our first Reconciliation and our first Holy Communion. I remember practicing how to receive the communion with a Ritz cracker that Mrs. Pongetti would act as if we were getting it at Mass. That was also the year that my teacher gave me a hamster that I named Gus.
Third grade was a learning year. my teacher was Mrs. Balsis. We learned everything in the Social Studies book. I also learned my multiplication tables that year. When I finally learned all of them up to 11, I couldn't wait to tell my mom when I got home.
Fourth grade was an awesome year. We did a lot that year. That was the year that we got to switch classes. We all thought we were all that. I had Mrs. Povey for Social Studies that year. And how we sat at tables that were named after the Indians. She also wore those Loony Tunes slippers around the class. The most exciting thing that year was when we went on the Pilgrim. We had to clean and work on the ship and if we were bad we had to eat an onion. That was pretty bad.
Fifth grade was a new year for us all. That was the year we all made our hero projects. New students, new teachers, new friends. My teacher was Ms. Peal. She was the head of the year book, so we got out of class to work on it. That was a lot of fun. She had a lot of knowledge about pictures and how to put a book together.
Sixth grade was a hard year. Our favorite class field trip that year was the 6th grade science camp. We all remember Mrs. Fiore and the ADD worksheets. She was a strict teacher. I soon found out why she was so strict. It was because she had so much information to give us in so little time. She taught us so much that year in math and science. Mrs. Passero taught us Social Studies. She was also a good teacher. With her many projects that always got us interested in the lesson. I also remember the current events that always kept us "up to date" with what was going on in the world.
Seventh grade was a confusing year. That was the year we did our animal kingdom projects in technology. We had Mrs. Marsh for a few months in the beginning of the year then we got Mrs. Muzzy. She was a really good teacher. She taught us everything there is about China and Japan. And her early morning study groups which were always packed because half of us never studied for it. Mrs. Tilton taught us all about God and his word. Mrs. Matsukane was our favorite English teacher. We read the most we ever read that year. And we read the Hobbit, that was a good book. She told us everything about punctuation and the proper use of words.
My teacher made learning fun. She had creative ways of teaching the material. Such as making the lesson into a game so that we would remember the material better and so we didn't lose out attention. We also made a coat of arms in
What I remember most fun thing was when we got to take home beanie babies for the night. It taught us responsibility and how to take care of our things. Everybody wanted to take home a stuffed animal.
This year I am in the 8th grade. This year is very different from all the rest of the years. We are switching classes and blocks. We all have different people in out classes and it's a great experience. We also have stamps classes and our teachers for those classes are Mrs. Egus, Mrs. Longo, and Senora Guzman. I am looking forward to learning things that will help me in my high school years so that I can get a good education that will help me in my future life.
Three things I do well are:
1. One thing I do well is play hockey and other sports because I enjoy doing these activities and that is my God given gifts.
2. I am also good at swimming and water oriented sports such as body boarding and swimming in general because I am naturally good in the water.
3. Another thing I do well is having fun with my friends because I think everyone is good at that.
Three things I would like to improve about myself are:
1. Something I would like to improve about myself is not talking as much while I'm in class, and paying better attention in class so I can get a better grade.
2. Another thing I would improve is to have more patients with myself and others so I don't get as mad as quickly.
3. The last last thing I would improve would be for me to have a closer relationship with my God and my family.
Three things I enjoy doing are:
1. One thing that I enjoy doing is in-line skating because it is one of my God given gifts and it is the one thing I can do to get rid of anger when I am mad at something. It is a sport that I don't have to work at when I am doing it.
2. I also enjoy relaxing in front of the TV because it doesn't require any work and I like things that don't require a lot of work.
3. I also enjoy eating and hanging out with my friends because it is just a fun thing to do.
A goal I have for this year is: A certain goal I have for this year is to have a semi decent conduct grade. And better grades in all my other subjects so that I can pass into high school with good grades on my record.
I will achieve this goal by:
1. I can achieve this by not talking as much so that my conduct grade will improve.
2. I can also get my homework in on time so that it can help my overall grades.
3. And I can listen to instructions better as well so that I can do my work right and have a less chance of getting it wrong.
Three careers that I am interested in are:
1. A career that I am interested in is becoming a professional in-line skater. I know it doesn't pay a lot but I would rather have a job I enjoy doing and getting paid a little tan having a job that pays a lot and not being happy.
2. I am interested in becoming a professional athlete because I am naturally good at sports such as hockey and water oriented sports.
3. Another career that I am looking into is to become an electric coordinator. I chose this because I am interested in setting up sound systems, etc. I would also like this job because if I get god enough at it I could have the opportunity to set up a professional singers system and get a chance to meet them.
Three school subjects related to my career interests and why are:
1. A school subject that is related to my career is P.E. because it helps me with my sports so that I can get better at them thought a period of time.
2. Another subject that will help me with my career is math because math is everywhere and I will probably need a basic knowledge in math.
3. Another subject that I think I will need in the future is English. This is because if I have to type a resume I will need to know how to use proper English.
This year I have learned a variety of things in all my subjects. And I couldn't have been able to learn these things without the help and knowledge of my teachers.
